The Manul Fest was held by the Kosh-Agach Center of the Children's Additional Education on the 3rd of April.
This celebration party was prepared for the special occasion - the Siberian Environmental Center employees and volunteers were coming to Kosh-Agach to give the series of lectures on the rare species of Altai. That was indeed a surprise party! The colorful environmentally-historical show 'Please, Manul, don't disappear!' moved deeply both adults and children.
In their songs and dances the children told the spectators about this interesting cat, its looks and habits. Also, the young performers explained what threatens manuls in their habitats and why this wild cat should be protected. For the Kosh-Agach region is one of the few places in our country where this steppe cat lives.
About 50 students from different region schools participated in the show. The event was organized by the teachers of the Kosh-Agach Center of the Children's Additional Education, the choreographic group from the Children's school of the Fine Arts, a librarian expert on the local history, and the local Hunters and Firshermen Association.
